#Colour of 2020

Mint green is one of those colours that I am constantly drawn to nowadays. It is relaxing, soothing and very tranquil. It reminds me of the peaceful ocean waters in the lagoon on a sunny day.
Mint green works great with pale beige, whites, as well as dusty pinks and darker shades of green:
It is a cool colour, so it is good to give it some warmth with brown woods, yellow accents and warm metals, such as gold and brass. As I said, mint is very relaxing, so it is great to use it in such spaces as bedroom or bathroom. However in living room or kitchen it might work pretty well too. So let me put you across my thoughts of bringing in mint green to the space.
BEGIN WITH YOUR FLOOR
Begin with flooring because it’s the easiest way to bring a mint green in to your home. A idea of a fresh rug in the spirited hue? This way you’ll re-energize the space instantly and a mint green rug will more than likely make the space you have to work with look larger and brighter, and ultimately more luxurious at that.

MINT GREEN WALLS
When considering room-defining mint green ideas, think about a colour palette that uses as a completely neutral base colour. When done right, walls painted with a delightful mint green, it will help you create a unique feel that will always look clean as mint green walls are better at hiding scuff marks and the ilk, than any other neutral paint colour ever will.

For instance, combining mint green living room ideas with cream and neutral coloured chairs and other furnishings will not only help you create the perfect blend, but one will feel timeless for years to come. As mint green is also a colour that sparks less instant emotion than say, a bold red or a grey

MINT GREEN WALLPAPER
Don’t feel like painting your wall to the colour, fine you have one more option to go with for your walls.
Today our design vendor market have so many options for printed/ textured wallpapers. Pick one of your choice that is mint green in colour, use it on the walls you want to, be it all four walls or just one. This is just another take on timeless and unique idea for introducing mint green to your interiors.

A point of concern while selecting the wallpaper, do keep in mind it a symmetrical and easy on eye if you are planning to use it throughout the four walls of the space. And you are ready with a inviting spacious warm space.

DONT FORGET THE CURTAINS
I always recommend to refurb the soft finishes. They are the instant change booster for any space.
Curtains and window treatments are one aspect of décor that is, for the most part, overlooked by many homeowners and design enthusiasts alike when looking to bring sumptuous colour. You can easily make your curtains a central part of mint green design ideas by sourcing inexpensive curtain panels that surely has a favour of mint green to it.

ACCESSORIZING IT IN MINT GREEN
When it comes to mint green ideas, it doesn’t always have to be about heavy furnishings and all-over color. Instead, bring in the hue in small doses like decorative accessories or vintage-inspired finds like the record player so to say. This way you can move pieces about with ease for a quick room refresh.

MINT GREEN ACCENT FURNITURE
In a space with less neutral elements, you can transform its look and create a comfy feel using either a mint green or grey sofa and accent chairs. This will evoke a discreet and cool ambiance. Mint green and grey living room ideas will help you create a uniquely modern living room decor style with retro-inspired vibes that will always look timeless.

INTRODUCE A KEY FEATURE
Another unique alternative to mint green ideas is to use a major piece of furniture to bring in the colour in as it will double up as a room-defining focal point, like the wall of mint green cabinets and shelves or wardrobe in the room.

This way you won’t have to bring in an all-over mint green colour while still enjoying the benefits of the hue, and you can move things around so often as the seasons and your tastes change without having to go for a major overhaul.

CREATE AN ACCENT WALL
An accent wall is another way of helping to add depth to a room while bringing in color without having to commit to too much of it all at once. So instead of going for all-over mint green ideas, consider an accent wall or even painting your ceiling for a unique take that will feel all your own.

And the best thing about painting an accent wall is that it’s inexpensive to do and can easily be updated when the time comes.
FOR BATHROOMS & KITCHEN
Mint green can also be used for your bathroom or kitchen. Use a mint green brick tile to create an accent wall behind the vanity mirror or you can also choose the shower wall as the highlight feature for your bathroom. This adds in a fresh colour t your boring bathroom.

For kitchens, you have the best source to use the colour and you can guess it easily.
Yes, shutters. Kitchen shutters are best way to bring the mint green feature to your dull kitchen. It can also be used as a tile for the dedo.

And this is it for my thoughts on the colour of relaxing that is mint green. Hope the ideas I brought into this post helps you in a way if you were looking for some inspiration.
